Activating Plugins

WordPress comes with a few plugins installed but not activated. You can add more later, but the most important plugin to activate is the WordPress Database Backup as backing up is THE most important thing that you do as servers DO fail and WordPress does stuff up.

Activating a plugin is really simple: go to your Dashboard and click on Plugins/Plugins and you will get a list of plugins. Next to each one, you’ll notice either an “Activate” or a “Deactivate”. To activate the plugin, just click “Activate” and to deactivate it, click “Deactivate”. ALWAYS only activate ONE plugin at a time. That way if you get any incompatibilities you know which plugin is doing it.
